gabrielle hodge is a deaf researcher specialising in the linguistics of signed languages.

I am interested in corpus linguistics and the semiotics of face-to-face interaction. I also love doing projects that improve outcomes for deaf people and enable better understanding of deaf lives.

I grew up in Canberra, Australia, on Ngunnawal Country. I did my BA (Hons) in Linguistics at La Trobe University in Melbourne, and my PhD in Linguistics at Macquarie University in Sydney. Currently I work as a post-doctoral Research Associate at the Deafness Cognition & Language Research Centre at UCL in London, UK.
