I work at the Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre at University College London. You can email me on g.hodge@ucl.ac.uk or tweet @gab_hodge. My work is also listed in ORCID and Google Scholar. I do my best to publish Open Access, but feel free to get in touch if you would like any of my papers.

I have taught on a wide range of language and communication topics including sociolinguistics, semiotics and gesture studies, corpus linguistics, linguistic typology, deafness and cognition, and language in interaction. I have provided many different workshops over the years and am always interested in opportunities to do more. I especially love creating workshops for signed language interpreters, translators and teachers. I am also available for Auslan into written English translation consultancy.

If you are organising an event, please consider our guidelines on how to improve communication access for deaf and hard of hearing people by integrating captions and/or signed language interpreters into your event. If you are organising or attending an online event with deaf signers and signed language interpreters, you may find these guidelines for remote working useful.
