Deaf Census 2022

In 2022 we created the first Deaf Census specifically to collect numbers relating to Auslan and other sign languages in Australia, receiving over 1,200 responses from Deaf, Deafblind, Deaf disabled, hard of hearing and hearing people across the nation. These responses are shared in a report and visual infographics that outline how this data can strengthen our advocacy and self-determination efforts going forward.
