Signing to Know & Survive

A week-long journey in the Scottish Highlands to unite BSL science education and BSL climate change preparedness for Deaf people of all ages. Dr Audrey Cameron, Dr Gabrielle Hodge, Ley Bergeron, Leyla Craig and Nick Craig worked with Deaf children in Portree on the Isle of Skye and in Dingwall near Inverness. Learning about climate science, noticing in the natural world, preparing for climate-induced disasters, and storytelling about these concepts to share with others. We also shared our experiences with Deaf seniors at the Deaf Club in Inverness.
